It is a blessing that Villanova is able to take part in Global Medical Missions Alliance. Through missions, not only are we able to spread the gospel, the core of our beliefs, but it is also an opportunity for a time of humble serving rooted in Christ’s love. Because I grew up in Nicaragua, I had many opportunities to serve in missions within Nicaragua. The mission experiences I have experienced have truly been a graceful and a blessful time of serving. It was a time of being able to humble myself before God. I hope that through GMMA, I will be able to share the love of Christ both locally in the Pennsylvania area as well in international . Through GMMA missions I hope members of Villanova GMMA as well as myself individually will be able to have a closer bond with Christ through one of his major ministries of serving.

It’s been truly a blessing to see how God works through us in ways that we can’t comprehend. GMMA is one such organization where it’s mission is to bring the Gospel and medical aid to those in need. As a Christian on a college campus, I have always wanted opportunities to serve others and contribute to God’s kingdom. After hearing about GMMA, I was surprised by how it’s core values correspond to my personal vision and goals. I am very excited to start a new chapter at Villanova University and hope to build a community that is God-centered and unified by our passion for Him.

The reason I chose to become a part of GMMA is its Christ-centered and mission-focused purpose. I felt as though being in GMMA would really help me grow spiritually while being given the opportunity to go abroad or even locally to help those in need. Despite being a Christian my whole life, there were many times when I questioned God’s plans for me and I truly feel as though GMMA is not only going to be an organization in which students of Villanova will become to know more about God, but also a place where I can restart my Christian walk. I am thankful to God for helping us plant a way for people to do God’s work, and I pray that GMMA in Villanova will not only become a Christ-centered organization but also be filled with those who truly get to know about God.

My name is Rebecca Park and I am thrilled to be able to partake a role in GMMA through Villanova. Both my parents have been missionaries in Ethiopia, Africa and therefore I had spent all of my childhood in missions. As I grew up, part of me always stayed with that land and even as I moved to better-developed countries, I had sought out every opportunity to go back. GMMA has provided that possibility- allowed me to continue doing what I love and bring to Villanova a chance to “bring God’s healing to all nations”!
